Fanari Academy is a parent driven organization, and The Board of Directors is a reflection of that. It is comprised of parents that want to create a strong academic environment for Greek and non-Greek speaking children.

Vangelis Kokkevis (Secretary)
Vangelis was born and raised in Athens. He came to the US in 1989 for undergraduate studies. Vangelis holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from Brown University and a Masters of Science from University of Pennsylvania. Vangelis has lived in the Bay Area since 2001. He has worked for a number of technology companies and is currently a Staff Engineer at Google. Vangelis is married with two kids, the elder one of which is a student at Fanari.

Tasos Anastasakos (Treasurer and Finance Director)
Tasos was born and raised in Greece. After graduating with a Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Tasos came to the US for graduate studies and received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston. He is currently a Principal Scientist at Yahoo! Labs. Tasos has one child attending Fanari Academy.
Dionysis Nikoforos (Legal Council)
Dionysis is an attorney and a certified Mediator in the State of California. He was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece where he got his Bachelor of Laws and moved to USA back in 2006 for graduate studies, receiving his Masters in Law with a focus in Sports Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution from California Western School of Law in San Diego. He is an aspiring sports agent and enjoys teaching Greek Mythology as a way to promote our rich Greek culture.
Tasos Constantin (Co-founder, Facilities Director)
Tasos is a pharmacist born and raised in San Jose, California. He lived in Greece for many years while working for European pharmaceutical companies. After moving back to the USA with his young family, the need for a quality Greek language and cultural program for the children became apparent. He is a founding member of Fanari Academy and believes that the Greek language should be taught by trained teachers and include exposure to the culture and customs of Greece.

Kostas Tsioutsiouliklis (Teaching Operations)
Kostas Tsioutsiouliklis was born in Germany. His family moved to Serres, Greece where he attended Elementary, Middle, and High School. He studied at the Polytechnic School in Patras, and received a BSE in Computer Engineering and Informatics. Kostas came to the US for graduate studies and received his PhD in Computer Science from Princeton University. He moved to the Bay Area in 2004. He is currently a Senior Manager at Yahoo! Labs.
